The Borough of Orwigsburg has an opening for Borough Manager.
The Borough of Orwigsburg (population 3,000), Schuylkill County, PA seeks an experienced innovative leader to serve as its Borough Manager. The Manager serves as the CEO for the Borough and oversees the administrative operations, & coordinates with the seven-member Borough Council, Mayor, staff, & community. The Borough is a full-service municipality with Police, Fire, Public Works, Trash, Water and Wastewater, Codes, Recreation, Finance and Administration. The Boroughs budgets are over $4m (General Fund $1.8m, Fire $73k, Recreation $82k, Water $800k, Sewer $950k, Trash 428K).
The Borough is looking for a skilled, collaborative, and proactive community-oriented leader. Candidates should have (1) municipal government or executive level, private sector experience; (2) outstanding interpersonal skills; (3) strong financial skills (4) Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience; (5) Water and Sewer Operator’s License or ability to obtain; and (6) strong communication and community relations skills.
The Borough offers a competitive salary dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the selected individual. The Borough also provides a benefits program including retirement, vacation, personal and sick leave, health, dental, and vision, life and disability insurance.
